The Oklahoma BASS Federation Nation presents

Bassmaster CastingKids 

Federation Nation volunteers will teach contestants to flip, pitch and cast
a hook-less lure to a bulls-eye target.  There are two age groups
(7 to 10 and 11-14) with ages determined by how old the child will be
in 2009.  Zebco rods and reels are used by all the contestants and
scoring is based on a point system.  A parent or guardian must be
present to fill in registration forms for children that wish to enter the
competition. 

Four competition sessions will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day
of the EXPO.  Winners in each age group in each session will receive a
Zebco rod and reel and be invited to attend the State CastingKids
Championship next April.  State winners will represent Oklahoma at a
semifinal competition in June with a chance to advance to the National
Finals in November 2009 where they compete for $21,000 in college
scholarship money.
