Opinions of Hunters and Anglers

In the winter of 2001, a set of identical questions pertaining to agency funding were asked on both the Game Harvest Survey and the Angler Opinion Survey.

 

 

Opinion on who should pay for fish and wildlife management (2000-season hunting & fishing license holders)

Hunters and anglers were asked to consider who should be responsible for funding fish and wildlife management in Oklahoma.

 

 

 

Support for earmarking existing sales on hunting/fishing equipment (2000-season hunting & fishing license holders)

Sportsmen were asked their opinions on reallocating the existing sales tax on sporting equipment for fish and wildlife management.

 

 

 

Support for increasing tax on hunting/fishing equipment (2000-season hunting & fishing license holders)

Sportsmen were asked their opinions on earmarking a new sales tax on sporting equipment for fish and wildlife management.

 

 

 

Support for inflation-based licensing (2000-season hunting & fishing license holders)

Sportsmen were asked their opinions on adjusting the cost of licenses each year to reflect the rate of inflation.
