Discover a wetland after sunset at the Hackberry Flat Wildlife Management Area.
Before heading out to tour the wetland, visitors will learn about bats in Oklahoma through the Echolocation Grotto, a traveling exhibit sponsored by Alabaster Caverns State Park. After settling down in an open-air seated trailer, the tour will set out to discover what goes on in a wetland after the sun goes down. Throughout the tour, visitors will learn how the wetland is managed by the OK Wildlife Dept. to provide habitat for wetland-dependent birds and other wildlife. The evening concludes around 11 pm.
Reservations are required. There is no fee and participants must be at least 14 years old.
