The Annual Meeting of the OK Wildlife & Prairie Heritage Meeting (OWPHA) Quartz Mountain Lodge is all about helping landowners help nature. The event begins at 9 am with an Eagle Watch & Wildlife Tour of Quartz Mountain. Participants will be conveyed in open-air trailers though families with young children can follow along and listen in on the tour with provided radios. Lunch is on your own but please join us at the Sundance Café at Quartz Mountain Lodge and then we will start the meeting at 1 pm. Topics covered include OWPHA projects for 2017 including the launching of the new Great Plains Trail Data Viewer, NRCS Conservation Stewardship Program, the new ODWC Landowner Access Program and an update on Monarch Conservation efforts. No registration fee.

Rules Meeting February 17

Hunt February 18, 2017

Registration will take place on February 17, 2017 at Cabela’s 1200 W Memorial Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73114 beginning at 6:00pm. We will go over the rules and draw door prizes at 8:00pm. All team members MUST be present at registration to receive their packet, sign waivers, and to be eligible for door prizes. Everyone who is participating in the hunt will receive a raffle ticket for some excellent door prizes provided by Cabela’s! All registrants also qualify for Cabela’s employee pricing the night of registration and the night of check-in to purchase any last-minute items you will be needing for the contest. This includes everything predator hunting related; firearms, ammunition, traps, calls, and camouflage clothing.

All teams registered before February 1, 2017 will receive three additional door prize tickets and a meal voucher to be used at the Cabela’s Deli the night of registration.


If 50 or more teams pre-register before February 1, 2017 each team will be entered in a raffle for a. Cabela’s 60-qt Polar Cap® Equalizer Cooler valued at $300.

9 am - Noon. The program begins with a little classroom time learning how to identify the raptors that enjoy eating the rodents at Hackberry Flat Wildlife Management Area. Afterwards the group will tour the Area in an open-air trailer to identify and count the raptors on the area. Hawks, owls and falcons are all possible to see that morning. Please dress warmly (hats, gloves, coats). Children must be at least 8 years old. Binoculars and blankets are available. No Fee.

Dinner starts at 7pm, but arrive at 5:30pm to enjoy a social hour before the banquet begins.
