Take a tour of the wetland at Hackberry Flat Wildlife Management Area with a Wildlife Dept. biologist and discover what wildlife is nesting and breeding at this time of year. Visitors will be transported in an open-air trailer with shade cover. Binoculars are available. There is no fee but reservations are strongly encouraged as seating is limited. Due to the length of the tour, children must be at least 8 years old to participate. Participates of the tour are exempt from the hunting/fishing license or Wildlife Conservation Passport requirement that day. Due to recent flooding, we had to push the date out. Book your calendars for a truly life changing event to support and help raise funds for our hometown heroes with the Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma, a non-profit 501C3 organization. The main event for the public will take place June 24th, Keystone Lake in Mannford, Oklahoma. rts/craft vendors, kids fishing derby with cash prizes and great gear giveaway. Live auction will include weekend getaway trip to Branson Missouri, guided fishing trips, BBQ smokers, signed memorabilia, outdoor gear, just to name a few. Live radio broadcast with Big Country 99.5 FM, celebrity guest, BBQ Feed for the public, live entertainment, huge public fireworks show and much more. Veterans will be treated to an all inclusive weekend of camping, fishing, and fellowship Friday June 23rd through Sunday June 25th.
