13: The Tulsa Fly Fishers and Oklahoma Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet at 6:30pm Thursday, November 13th at the Hardesty Public Library.

The library is located at 8316 E. 93rd Street in Tulsa. Meetings are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about fly fishing in Oklahoma is invited to attend.

This is the annual meeting of both organizations and elections of officers and board members will be held. After the election, the special guest speaker will be Toby Vaughn. Toby is a well known area fly fisherman and expert fly tier. Toby's presentation will be about how to fish and tie the "Soft Hackle" fly. He'll give local insight into fishing with a soft hackle and he promises that attendees will learn about one of the most productive wet flies, how to "match the hatch" and casting methods used to fish the soft hackle fly.

20: Oklahoma FlyFishers Meeting

On Thursday, November 20th, Oklahoma FlyFishers (International Federation of FlyFishers) will present “Fishing Lake Taneycomo”. Guest speakers, Stan & Gina Parker, owners of River Run Outfitters Fly shop & Guide service, will share valuable information on where, what & how to fish this fabulous tailwater. They will also cover special techniques, rigging & fly patterns that have proven successful on this water. This meeting is at 7pm (doors open at 6:30) at Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. in Tulsa & is open to the public. Guests are always welcome and there is no charge to attend.
