The only method for applying will be through the Internet.

(via WWW.WILDLIFEDEPARTMENT.COM)

Since Internet applying began in 1999, an ever-increasing number of Oklahoma hunters have elected to apply for Controlled Hunts using the online application system. For YOU, the hunter, there are several distinct advantages to applying online including:

• Accuracy-The online application prompts applicants to fill in their information correctly, ensuring your acceptance to the drawing.

• Peace of Mind-When you apply online, you will get a confirmation message that instantly tells you that your application has been accepted. No worrying about applications being lost in the mail or postmarked late.

• Convenience-Recent statistics show that the vast majority of Oklahomans have some form of access to the Internet. Even if you don’t have Internet at home, it’s very likely that you have a friend or relative that does. Also, a growing number of public library systems across Oklahoma offer free Internet access. As an added service to state hunters, several of the Wildlife Department’s installations will provide free Internet access to submit your application online during normal business hours.

Going exclusively to an online application system for Controlled Hunts is a “win-win” for both hunters and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. The online application ensures your accuracy and takes away the risk of having your application disqualified. The Controlled Hunts booklet will be available at your fingertips and save you a trip to town. The Department will continue to provide a user-friendly Web application for you to enter the Controlled Hunts.
