How you can help manage Oklahoma streams……

The ODWC is continuously working to improve stream habitat across eastern Oklahoma.  These efforts involve natural, free-flowing streams and tailwaters.  If you are interested in contributing funds to help with these efforts, here is how….

Many of ODWC’s streams management projects are funded through donations.  These contributions are then matched with Sportfish Restoration dollars.   The 1:3  matching ratio offers contributors an excellent return on their investment because every dollar given provides four dollars to fund stream improvements (see graphic).  Also, all donations are put directly toward habitat in the river with no hidden administrative costs.  The result is improved fishing for everyone at an excellent price.

We plan to continue aggressively improving habitat in streams across eastern Oklahoma.  However, since our budget does not have the flexibility to do extra work, we can’t do it without you.  Getting involved is easy and we sincerely appreciate your willingness to help.

If you wish to contribute, just send a check payable to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.  Please note “Area 14 – Streams Management” in the memo line and send it to the program coordinator at 2021 Caddo Highway, Caddo, Oklahoma, 74729-3807.
