Bird Watching and Bird Feeding

Everything you could ever want to know about birding, bird feeding and bird identification will be covered at Expo. A complete bird feeding station is provided by Audubon Society of Central OK. The observation blind is provided by the OK Master Naturalists Program. Member from both of these organizations will be on hand to provide tips on feeding and identifying birds in you backyard. Learn about bird watching optics through a field course where you track down a variety of avian species with help from the Cleveland County Audubon Society and the American Association of Zookeepers from the OKC Zoo. There will be an indoor  “safari” to capture photographic images of birds and other wildlife with a prize provided by the Oklahoma Wildlife and Prairie Heritage Alliance. Learn about the birds that visit Hackberry Flat and their special beaks. And of course get a close up look at those magnificent birds of prey with the OK Falconers Association.
