Trapping/Predator Calling

Learn the history of trapping and its role in modern conservation. Hear from experts with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services and the Oklahoma Furbearer Alliance.  Demonstrations and programs relating to trapping, predator calling and fur use will be given.  Traps, trap sets, tanned furs and skulls will be on display.  Come by for hands on demonstrations to learn how to catch bobcats, coyotes, beavers or other furbearers.

Fourth Annual Youth Coyote Calling Contest on September 27, 2008

There will be two age classes for the contest:

  • A 12 and under class
  • A 13-17 class

Contestants will be judged on coyote barks, coyote bark howl and coyote distress sound. Prizes will be awarded immediately following contest.

Contest sponsored in part by the Oklahoma Furbearer Alliance.
