Turkey Hunting 101
Want to experience nature? Know where your food comes from? Learn self-sufficiency? Oklahoma spring turkey season starts April 6th! This one-day course will prepare you to bring home a healthy-meat, Wild Turkey. This program will cover the importance of conservation, turkey biology, scouting, firearm safety, calling, blind location, and a “how to” Field-to-Fork preparation and cooking demonstration for the new or novice turkey hunter. Required safety glasses and hearing protection. School will furnish other items, but you can bring your own cased shotgun and ammo. (Must be left in locked vehicle while on campus during morning session) and a friction-type turkey call (box or slate call).
