8: OKC Trout Fishing ClinicAnglers who want to hone their trout fishing skills for the City's annual rainbow trout season are invited to attend a FREE trout fishing clinic on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Putnam City High School Gymnasium, 5300 NW 50th Street. The clinic will run from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
Staff and volunteer educators from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department will share their trout know-how, including tips for the best bait and equipment for trout, knot-tying, as well as angler ethics, fish identification and more.
The trout fishing clinic is open to anglers of all ages and is FREE to the public. Registration is required in advance by calling the city's H.B. Parsons Fish Hatchery at 405-297-1426. The clinic is a part of the City's annual rainbow trout season, which began on December 1, 2015 and runs through February 29, 2016 at Dolese Youth Park Pond, 5105 NW 50th.
