Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

McGee Creek Report

Dec 6. Elevation is 3 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 57°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Spotted Excellent on Alabama rig, bill baits, crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits, other around brush structure, points, rocks, shorelines, standing timber, other.

Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around channels, dam, flats, points.

Sardis Lake Report

Wister Lake Report

Bass, Largemouth Fair on jigs, spinnerbaits around brush structure.

Catfish, Blue Good on cut bait, shad around main lake.

Crappie, White Good on jigs, minnows around brush structure.

Fort Gibson Report

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on hair jigs, minnows, tube jigs around brush structure, docks, main lake.

Catfish, Blue Good on cut bait, shad around channels, flats, main lake, points.

Paddlefish Good on snagging around channels, main lake.

Broken Bow Lake Report

Blue River PFHA Report

Trout, Rainbow Excellent on caddis flies, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, small lures, spoons, worms around brush structure, channels, creek channels, river channel, rocks.

Kaw Lake Report

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Good on cut bait, goldfish, shad, sunfish, worms around flats, main lake.

Bass, Striped, Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits, live shad, sassy shad around below the dam.

Konawa Report

Dec 1. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 56°F and clear.

Bass, Largemouth Fair on Alabama rig, crankbaits, plastic baits around main lake, points, river channel, weed beds.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live shad around coves, discharge, main lake, river channel.

Catfish, Channel Slow on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around inlet, riprap, rocks.

Texoma Report

Dec 1. Elevation is 1.5 ft. above normal (stable), water temperature 57°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Good on live shad, topwater lures around channels, flats, main lake, points.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on cut bait, dough bait, live bait, live shad, punch bait, stinkbait around channels, coves, docks, main lake, river channel.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows around brush structure, coves, docks, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week was good. Striper are good on flat areas near ledges with live shad. Striper are biting very well right now. Catfish are good near ledges and channels with live bait. Crappie are good around docks with brush in 17-26ft with jigs.
