"Outdoor Oklahoma" 2015 Season to Begin Sunday

"Outdoor Oklahoma" will open its 2015 television season Sunday with a program featuring Oklahoma City News 9 meteorologist Lacey Swope and her love of the outdoors. The program will air at 8 a.m. March 22 on OETA-The Oklahoma Network.

As an Oklahoma public figure, Swope has incorporated hunting and fishing into some her forecasts on Oklahoma City's CBS television affiliate KWTV-9. This episode highlights her upbringing around hunting and fishing, as well as a glimpse of the National Wild Turkey Federation's Women in the Outdoors program.

"Lacey is not afraid to wear the outdoors on her sleeve," said Blake Podhajsky, one of the producers of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation's weekly television show. "She is a very visible and outspoken ambassador for Oklahoma's hunting and fishing tradition."

Additionally, the spring 2015 season of "Outdoor Oklahoma" kicks off the TV show's 40th anniversary airing on OETA, the state's public television network.

This premiere episode will also air at 7:30 p.m. Monday on KXOK-32 in Enid and KTEW-20 in Ponca City; and 9 p.m. Tuesday on KWEM-31 in the Stillwater/Perry area.

For viewing anytime, this episode also will be available on the "Outdoor Oklahoma" YouTube channel beginning Monday.
