Online Auction Bidding to Close Nov. 7

More than 70 items are open for bids in an online auction of Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation surplus property. Potential bidders can see the list of auction items and photos online at purplewave.com/auction/171107A

Auction vehicles include 24 pickups and some four-wheelers. Details about each vehicle are provided in the online listing. Several lots of merchandise are also up for bid, including tractor mowing implements, an excavator and a boat.

Bidding on items will begin closing one item per minute at noon CST on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Items will close in the order listed on the website.

Johnny Hill, property manager for the Wildlife Department, said vehicles are always popular among bidders. "All of our auction vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance from the time we get them new to the time we sell them. And anyone who buys something in our auction will be supporting the Wildlife Department at the same time."

The Wildlife Department has been holding its surplus property auctions on the Internet for more than two years. The process has proved to be more efficient and more convenient for bidders.

Bidders must register with the online auction site before bidding. A 10 percent buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids to arrive at the final price. Other auction details, terms and conditions are available at the auction website.

Items are sold to the highest bidder as-is, where-is. Many items are available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Department's interim headquarters, 2145 N.E. 36 St. in Oklahoma City. Other items are at various Department sites across the state. Item locations are listed in the "Auction Details" tab on the auction web page.
