BECOME A SELMAN VOLUNTEER

The Selman Bat Watch would not be possible without its dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Volunteers assist with guided tours, greeting visitors at check-in, and answering visitor questions during the event.

Off-season, volunteers assist with trail maintenance. A one-day volunteer training/field workday and special bat viewing take place in late June.

Volunteers should live within 60 miles of Alabaster Caverns State Park. They must be at least 18 years old and contribute 10 hours per year helping maintain the Selman Wildlife Management Area.

Contact the Wildlife Diversity Program by May 15 if interested in volunteering.
