The day begins with a hands-on program, “Beaks and Feet”, especially for children. In the afternoon, learn to how to identify and feed winter birds during a biologist-led program. Then enjoy a guided bird walk along the Wildlife Area’s nature trail. Next, travel no more than five miles to Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge to watch eagles arrive at their evening roosting site.
