Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Thunderbird Report

Apr 29. Elevation is .5 ft. above normal (stable), water temperature 65°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Saugeye Fair on crankbaits, plastic baits around points.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on jigs, minnows around shallows, shorelines.

Bass, White Good on sassy shad, small lures around main lake, points.

Fort Supply Report

Apr 29. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal (stable), water temperature 62°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level)

Catfish, Channel Fair on chicken liver, dough bait around flats, main lake, riprap.

Bass, White on crankbaits, small lures around dam, docks.

Foss Lake Report

Apr 29. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 56°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Hybrid Fair on crankbaits, jigs, minnows.

Comments: Crappie fair on jigs and minnows. Channel catfish fair on cut bait, stinkbait, and worms around main lake and off the rocks.

Wes Watkins Reservoir Report

Apr 29. Elevation is 1.5 ft. below normal (rising), water temperature 64°F and stained. (USGS Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on crankbaits, spinnerbaits around dam, points, riprap.

Catfish, Channel Fair on chicken liver, PowerBait, punch bait around channels, riprap.

Bass, White Good on crankbaits around dam, riprap.
