Location: Located 6 miles northeast of Rattan in Pushmataha County.
Driving Directions: From Rattan – ½ mile east on State Hwy 3, 3 miles northeast on Cloudy Rd, 1 mile north on N4295.
Recreational Facilities: Primitive camping and primitive boat ramp.
Primary Uses: Angling and general recreation.
Lake History: Lake Ozzie Cobb was constructed by the
Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1958.

Notable
Characteristics of Lake or Fishery: Lake is easily
accessible by boat. Access roads almost surround the entire lake
providing additional bank fishing opportunities.
Regulations: Largemouth/smallmouth bass; six (6) combined
per day / 14-inch minimum. Channel and/or blue catfish six (6)
per day no size limit. Fishing limited to two rods and reels
only per person. Fishing limited to rod and reel and bowfishing.
No other method of fishing is allowed.
Habitat Types, Status and Improvements: The habitat
around the lake consists of cattails, rush, lilies, and water
willow. A large portion of the north and northeast part of the
lake is very shallow. The lake has four marked fish attractors
made up of brush piles. Staff refurbished these attractors in
2011. The fishing jetty was completed in 2011. Also in 2011,
staff began applying aquatic herbicide to reduce excessive
vegetation. In addition to continuing vegetation control, staff
will focus on improving roads, parking areas and overall bank
access. Access roads that did not lead to the water have closed
due to littering/dumping.
Description of Fish Management Practices: Annual 9” channel catfish stockings will continue at a rate of 40 per acre. Future stocking rates and frequency could be adjusted following an examination of catch rates and growth rates during summer netting surveys. Total largemouth bass (LMB) abundance was low during 2009 electrofishing surveys. Quality LMB 14” and over are present in low to moderate abundance. A 7.2 lbs.,22” LMB was recorded as the largest of the sample.
Hunting: All forms of hunting are permitted during open hunting seasons from September 1 through spring turkey season. Hunting is restricted to shotguns and bows only. These lakes are closed to antlerless deer harvest, except during archery season. Hunting and shooting other than provided above is prohibited. “Closed areas” may be designated for purposes of safety and/or security.
