Lake of the Arbuckles: August 28. Elevation normal, water 87-90. Crappie good under lights at nights. White bass are chasing shad around the dam up Buckhorn Creek areas. Bass being caught on worms at 20-25 ft. and on crankbaits and topwater lures early. Channel catfish good on fly rods off baited holes up Guy Sandy arm. Sunfish good on fly rods. Blue River: August 17. Elevation normal, water 83 and clear. Smallmouth and spotted bass good on topwater, plastic grubs and shallow diving crankbaits around falls or structure in deeper pools. Channel catfish good on stinkbait, liver and minnows in larger pools around current. Flathead catfish fair on live sunfish around structure at night. Sunfish excellent on small spinnerbaits, flies and crickets. Report submitted Matt Gamble, biologist at the Blue River Public Fishing and Hunting Area.
Broken Bow:
August 30. Elevation 8 ft. below normal, water
high 80s. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass being caught on Texas or
Carolina-rigged motor oil colored worms early morning, late evening and after
dark around points and structure. Catfish fair on juglines and trotlines with
cut bait and shad. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 18-20 ft. around brush

August 30. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. below normal,
water 86 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits along deeper points.
White bass good trolling deep points and deeper flats early and late. Blue
catfish slow. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8-20 ft. along standing timber

August 29. Elevation
4 ft. below normal, water 86. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits and soft
plastics in the stump beds along the creek channels. Crappie fair on minnows in
submerged timber. Catfish fair to good on juglines and trotlines baited with

August 31. Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 98 and clear. Largemouth bass
fair on crankbaits and topwater lures at 5-15 ft. in schooling fish in the coves
early and late. Channel catfish good on chicken liver and shad at 5-10 ft. along
points. All other fishing slow. Report by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in
Lower Mountain Fork River: June 22. Fishing has been good on a weighted fly on the bottom. It is possible that you could get some dry fly action, very early and very late in the day. Some sporadic hatches of our famous Hexagenia mayflies have been occurring. Report submitted by Sid www.beaversbendflyshop.com.
McGee Creek: August 29. Elevation 8 inches below normal, water 87 and clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 12-20 ft. around cedar brush, off main creek channels. Largemouth bass fair on dark colored soft plastic lures and topwater lures in shallow water early and late and schooling bass on topwater lures in open water. Murray:
August 30. Elevation normal, water lower 80s and clear. Largemouth and
smallmouth bass slow to fair early morning, late evening and at night. White
bass being caught on topwater lures and trolling schooling fish late in evening.
Channel catfish good on stinkbait, worms and chicken liver late at night. All

Pine Creek: August 29. Elevation extremely low, water clear. Bass good on Carolina-rigged worms near points. Crappie good on minnows. Catfish fair on worms. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.
Robert S. Kerr:
August 31. Elevation normal, water 87 and murky. Largemouth bass slow. White
bass fair trolling and slabbing near the Big Sans Bois Creek arm and the
Arkansas River. Catfish fair on juglines and trotlines baited with fresh shad
and cut bait. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around submerged brush piles.

Sardis Lake:
August 30. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. below normal,
water 89 and murky. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, swim baits, topwater
lures and plastic worms in shallow water early and late. Channel and blue
catfish good on cut bait and stinkbait. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs
at 14-16 ft. Walleye slow. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed

Texoma: August 29. Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 88 and clear. Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass fair to good on surface lures, crankbaits and plastic combination baits from the surface to 15 ft. around riprap and points. Striped and white bass fair to good on live bait, sassy shad and surface lures from the surface to 15 ft. in the river channels and around the points. Channel and blue catfish fair to good on cut baits, worms and shrimp at 5-15 ft. from Catfish Bay to the south and west. Crappie fair on minnows at 5-10 ft. deep around the fish attractors. Sunfish good on worms at 5-10 ft. around riprap and shrimp. Paddlefish fair below the dam. Report submitted by Danny Clubb, game warden stationed in Bryan County.
Wister: August 29. Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 88 and murky. Largemouth bass slow on topwater lures, worms and jigs early and late. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 14-16 ft. around structure. Channel catfish slow on juglines baited with cut shad and liver. Flathead catfish slow on live sunfish and night crawlers.
