WILDLIFE LAND ACQUISITION PROGRAM

Home

The Department’s Wildlife Land Acquisition Program was created by the Legislature to provide more public land for Oklahomans in years to come. It is funded solely through public donations, and funds gained through the program are earmarked for buying or leasing land for fish and wildlife management or for public hunting, fishing and trapping.

The avenue for making the program work is the Oklahoma Wildlife Habitat Patch. For a $10 donation, Oklahomans can receive an attractive patch featuring an important sportfish, bird or mammal. For a $15 contribution, donors receive the patch attached to a cap. The patch is changed yearly, each time featuring a popular wildlife species.

You can order Habitat Donor Patches through the Outdoor Store for information on obtaining.
