North Ft. Gibson 16- Hudson (Kerr) Dam - This is best when the low-water dam downriver three miles is flooded to permit paddlefish to get over it. Best time for this area is late March, April and early May. The bank fishing access here is very good. 17- Ft. Gibson low-water dam - This area is best in March, April and early May when there is a high constant flow of water, but not enough for the paddlefish to get over the low water dam. This stacks the paddlefish up below the low water dam. 18- Hole in the river - Immediately North of the Highway 412 bridge - This area is best when the Ft. Gibson low-water dam (#17) is good. Water depth 20 to 25 feet deep. This area has limited bank access. Best access is by boat. 19,20,21- These are good staging areas in February if we have early “warm” rains. These are also good staging areas in March and April. Good for boat fishing. |
