Location:                      Central Office, 1801 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City.

Salary:              $28,167.12 - $32,000.00 annual   Plus excellent state benefits

 

Summary of Job Duties:

Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, will serve as an Agency Procurement Officer to fulfill agency purchasing needs.  Process all purchasing requisitions and solicit competitive  bids for internal Agency purchasing.  Assist with accounts payable, travel, budgeting and risk management.  Process  correspondence, including telephone inquiries, regarding purchasing and/or financial matters.  Work all jobs in the Division when the regular employee is on leave or as the need arises.  Provide support for the Assistant Director of Administration and Finance in preparing reports using word processing and/or Excel.  Job requires a high degree of accuracy.  Must be able to lift and carry light weight equipment and materials.  May be required, occasionally, to carry or lift objects up to 15 pounds.  Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with the public and coworkers by telephone and in person.  May serve as a travel coordinator for the agency.  Will be required to enroll in and successfully complete state purchasing course work and test in order to serve as one of the Agency’s Certified Procurement Officers.

                                                                                                                       

Requirements:

Education and Experience:        2 years college, or comparable education, with preference in Business or Accounting, plus 5 years related experience, of which 2 years should be in purchasing.

 

Knowledge and Skills:     Must be able to operate the following equipment: personal computer, calculator, typewriter, fax machine, copy machine and telephone.  Must have a working knowledge of Windows utilizing Word or WordPerfect  and Excel spreadsheets or similar applications.  Certified Procurement Officer preferred.  PeopleSoft experience is also preferred.

 

Examination:     Oral interview.  Proof of education and experience.  Will be required to demonstrate computer proficiency utilizing Word or WordPerfect and Excel.
