Location
    Lake Vanderwork is located in Washita County, 8 miles north of Gotebo (S18,T8N, R15W,S13,T8N,R16W).  Vegetation around the lake is tallgrass prairie type.

Recreational Facilities
     The lake has one boat ramp, a dock and latrines.  The nearest towns in which to buy picnic and fishing supplies are Mountain view and Gotebo. Anglers can pursue largemouthbass, crappie, bluegill and channel catfish.

Lake History
     Lake Vanderwork was built by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1968 and first opened to fishing in 1970.
