Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA)
The following are supporting documents for the Oklahoma Lesser Prairie-Chicken Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurance (CCAA).
- Incidental
Take Permit
Once approved for participation in the CCAA program through the issuance of Certificates of Inclusion (CI) as well as the development of an approved Wildlife Management Plan (WMP), landowners may apply for an Incidental Take Permit. This permit will allow for the continuation of legal land practices registered in the CI with no negative federal consequences of the loss of lesser prairie-chickens through normal land practices.

Environmental
Assessment The Environmental Assessment has been
developed in order to address the impacts on the environment
from the implementation of the CCAA which was developed to
support a section of the Enhancement of Survival Permit and
implementation of the conservation for the lesser
prairie-chicken in Oklahoma.
- Finding
of No Significant Impact (FONSI) This document
describes that the CCAA plan for the lesser prairie-chicken
will not pose a significant impact on participating
landowners in Oklahoma.

Enhancement of
Survival Permit Findings Letter This letter
describes the findings and recommendations on the issuance
of the Candidate Conservation Agreement to Conserve the
lesser prairie-chicken in Oklahoma.
- Sample Wildlife Management Plan This document is an example of a management plan. Landowners participating in the CCAA will work with the ODWC to create a plan for their specific property.
