Licensing System FAQ

ODWC’s new license sales system makes it easier and more convenient to get hunting and fishing licenses, manage profile information, e-check harvests, apply for controlled hunts, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I have a lifetime license, do I need to set up an account?

If you already have a lifetime license, then you already have a customer account. Log in by going to GoOutdoorsOklahoma.com. From there, you can log in to acquire additional permits, manage your profile, e-check your harvest, and more.

Will I still be able to purchase a license at dealer locations?

Yes. Most license dealer locations have agreed to continue to sell ODWC licenses. You call ahead before visiting a licensed dealer to make sure they are ready to sell you a license.

How do I log in?

Log in by going to GoOutdoorsOklahoma.com. From there, you can log in to purchase a license, manage your profile, e-check your harvest, and more. You’ll be required to provide your date of birth, last name, and last four digits of your Social Security Number to log in or create your customer account. If you have purchased an Oklahoma fishing or hunting license before, this will bring you to your customer home page. If you are new to the system, you will be required to create an account by completing the customer information form. Once complete, you will be redirected to your customer home page.

What is a Customer ID?

An ODWC Customer ID is a unique number that will be assigned to you when you first log in. You may locate this number on your customer homepage and may use it for future logins. This number is unique to you and will be tied to all account activity and transactions through the system, so you can find all of your information and history in one location.

How do I Purchase a License?

Once logged in, click on the “Purchase Licenses” tab. This will bring you to the License Catalog where you may add multiple items to your cart and check out after you log in.

What is Auto-Renew?

Once you complete a purchase through the new system, you may be asked to sign up for auto-renew. This is a feature that allows you to automatically renew any applicable licenses/permits when they are about to expire using a stored payment method. If you choose to enroll, you will receive an email notifying that your eligible licenses will be renewed using Auto Renew 10 days prior to the expiration date. You may adjust your auto-renew settings (including stored payment) any time before your license(s) expires through your customer profile.

What is a Durable Collector’s Card?

When you purchase a license and/or permit through the system, you may be asked if you would like to upgrade to a durable card for $6. This optional, durable card is a valid form of proof of purchase that will not be damaged by water, sun, dirt, or regular wear and tear like the traditional paper document. The card is made of credit card-like material that contains your customer and license information on one side and features artwork from Oklahoma artists on the other side.

Is my old Lifetime License Card still valid?

Yes. Existing lifetime license hard cards will remain a valid form of proof of purchase. If you would like to reprint your lifetime license on the new card design, you may do so for $6 through the new system.

How Do I E-Check my Harvest?

You may report a harvest through your customer account online.

Why do I need to provide the Last 4 Digits of my Social Security Number?

Pursuant to Federal Law, we are required to collect this information for the purposes of child support collection enforcement. ODWC license buyer information is protected by state statute. Your information is secure and confidential and may be used by the ODWC for official purposes related to customer service and wildlife management. As part of the upgrade, ODWC will only collect the last 4 digits instead of the full SSN.

What is the Mobile App?

The Go Outdoors Oklahoma mobile app is available for iPhone and Android devices. The app allows you to purchase, access, and store your license information, no matter where you are. It is also a legal means of carrying your licenses in the field. In addition, you are able to complete e-check forms through the app, regardless of whether there is a cellular connection. The app will automatically sync when it returns to service. Download it on the Apple App Store or get it on Google Play today.
