Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Blue River PFHA Report

May 24. Elevation is below normal (rising), water temperature 73°F and murky. (USGS Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth, Bass, Spotted Good on plastic baits, spinnerbaits around brush structure, channels, rocks, shorelines.

Catfish, Channel Good on stinkbait, worms around channels, rocks.

Sunfish, Bluegill, Sunfish, Green, Sunfish, Redear Good on crickets, worms around brush structure, rocks, shorelines, weed beds.

Brushy Creek Reservoir Report

May 24. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 65°F and stained.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on chicken liver, cut bait, hot dogs, shad, worms around below the dam, coves, shallows, shorelines.

Bass, Striped, Bass, White Fair on flukes, in-line spinnerbaits, sassy shad, small lures around below the dam, shallows, shorelines.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, minnows, small lures, worms around below the dam, brush structure, shallows, shorelines.

Arcadia Report

Bass, White Good on jigs, minnows, tube jigs around below the dam.

Paddlefish Slow on snagging around below the dam.

Comments: High water continues to create access issues and boating hazards. Boaters and swimmers should use caution at all times around the lake in this condition.

Foss Lake Report

Walleye Good on live bait around dam.

Comments: Catfish good on dough bait and shrimp near the north side. Striped bass hybrids fair on hard baits. Bass good close to the marina.

May 22. Elevation is 2.5 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 75°F and murky.

Bass, Striped Hybrid Slow on live bait around main lake.

Crappie, White, Saugeye Fair on jigs, live shad, minnows around riprap.

Bass, Largemouth Slow on jerk baits, plastic baits around brush structure, rocks.

Comments: All walleye, sauger, and saugeye less than 18” inches must be immediately released back to the water.
