Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round, but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. 

If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time, you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Blue River PFHA Report

Aug 31. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 83°F and clear. (USGS Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth, Bass, Spotted Good on crankbaits, flukes, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits, topwater lures, tube jigs around brush structure, channels, river channel, rocks, shorelines, weed beds.

Catfish, Channel Fair on chicken liver, worms around brush structure, channels, rocks.

Texoma Report

Aug 31. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 82°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Fair on live shad, sassy shad, slabs, topwater lures around below the dam, channels, main lake, points.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait around below the dam, channels, docks, points, river mouth.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs around brush structure, coves, docks, points, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week has been about the same as last week. Striper continue to bite on live shad, trolling sassy shad and topwater lure and slabs. Catfish are biting on cut shad, dough bait and punch bait. Crappie are biting on jigs with power bait and minnows around brush piles and docks.

Kaw Lake Report

Paddlefish Excellent on snagging around below the dam.

Keystone Lake Report
