Fishing Report Timing
We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round, but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted.
If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time, you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.
Blue River PFHA Report
Sep 22. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 81°F and clear. (USGS Lake Level)
Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass Good on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits around brush structure, channels, creek channels, points, river channel, shorelines, weed beds.
Channel Catfish Good on chicken liver, stinkbait, worms around brush structure, channels, rocks.

Lower Illinois River PFHA Report
Sep 22. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 74°F and clear.
Rainbow Trout Slow on caddis flies, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, worms around below the dam, shallows, shorelines.
Comments: Fishing is slow with warmer water temps and very low oxygen and nonstocking ofctroutvsince June.

Kaw Lake Report
Sep 21. Elevation is 3 ft. below normal (falling), water temperature 88°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)
Striped Hybrid Bass, White Bass Good on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, live shad, sassy shad, spoons, topwater lures around below the dam, main lake, points, riprap.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Good on cut bait, grass hoppers, live bait, live shad, shad, stinkbait around below the dam, channels, creek channels, main lake, river channel, river mouth.
Black Crappie, White Crappie Good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows around brush structure, riprap, standing timber.

Keystone Lake Report
Sep 21. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 76°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)
Blue Catfish Good on cut bait, live bait, live shad around below the dam, main lake.
Black Crappie, White Crappie Fair on jigs, minnows around brush structure, main lake.
Largemouth Bass Good on plastic baits around brush structure, docks, main lake, points, standing timber.

Largemouth Bass Good on crankbaits, plastic baits around main lake, points, river channel, weed beds.
Striped Hybrid Bass, White Bass Good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live shad around coves, inlet, main lake, river channel.
Channel Catfish Good on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around inlet, riprap, rocks, weed beds.

Texoma Report
Sep 20. Elevation is 2 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 84°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)
Striped Bass Fair on live shad, slabs, topwater lures around channels, main lake, points.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Good on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, PowerBait, stinkbait, sunfish around below the dam, coves, creek channels, docks, river mouth.
Black Crappie, White Crappie Fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs around brush structure, coves, docks, standing timber.
Comments: Fishing has been about the same this week. Striper continue to bite on live shad and topwater lures. They are also being caught in trolling methods. Catfish are being caught on live shad and cut bait around baited holes and cleaning docks. Crappie are being caught on jigs around brush piles and stumps.
