Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Fort Gibson Report

Oct 21. Elevation is 2.5 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 72°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Kaw Lake Report

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Excellent on jigs, live bait, minnows, tube jigs around brush structure, standing timber.

Konawa Report

Oct 20. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 68°F and clear.

Texoma Report

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait around channels, coves, docks, points, river mouth.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs around coves, docks, points, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week has been tough. Some days are better than others. Striper are biting on live shad near channels. Catfish are also moving on ledges around the Striper. Crappie are biting on jigs around brush near docks.

Keystone Lake Report

Lower Illinois River PFHA Report

Oct 18. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal (stable), water temperature 64°F and clear.

Trout, Rainbow Slow on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, worms around below the dam, shallows, shorelines.

Comments: Current river flow 260 CFS around the clock, fish are little lethargic due to low oxygen and higher water temperatures
