Kaw Lake Report

Oct 19. Elevation is 2 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 68°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level)

Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Excellent on cut bait, live bait, shad, stinkbait, sunfish, worms around flats, inlet, river channel, river mouth, shallows.

Striped Hybrid Bass, White Bass Good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, live shad, shad around below the dam, main lake, points, riprap.

Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass Slow on crankbaits, jerk baits, spinnerbaits, topwater lures around docks, points, riprap, shorelines.

Grand Lake Report

Oct 18. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 73°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Largemouth Bass Fair on crankbaits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits around brush structure, docks, shorelines.

Blue Catfish Fair on chicken liver, cut bait, shad around below the dam, docks, main lake, river channel.

White Crappie Fair on jigs, minnows around brush structure, docks.

Lower Illinois River PFHA Report

Oct 18. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 74°F and clear.

Rainbow Trout Slow.

Comments: Fishing slow due to lack of stocking, warm water and low oxygen levels.

Black Crappie, White Crappie Good on jigs, minnows around brush structure, docks, main lake.

Blue Catfish Good on cut bait, live bait, live shad around dam, main lake.

Largemouth Bass Good on in-line spinnerbaits, jerk baits, jigs, plastic baits, small lures, spinnerbaits around brush structure, rocks.
