Bass, Largemouth Good on crankbaits, plastic baits, topwater lures around main lake, points, river channel, weed beds.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live shad around coves, inlet, main lake, river channel.

Catfish, Channel Good on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around inlet, riprap, rocks, weed beds.

Lower Mountain Fork River Trout Area Report

Aug 21. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 68°F and clear.

Trout, Rainbow Good on crickets, grass hoppers, PowerBait, tube jigs, worms around creek channels, dam, river channel, spillway.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Spotted Slow on Alabama rig, bill baits, jigs, minnows, plastic baits, other around brush structure, main lake, points, riprap, rocks.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on minnows, small lures, tube jigs around brush structure, main lake, standing timber.

Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Slow on chicken liver, cut bait, sunfish, worms around channels, docks, main lake, riprap, rocks.

Texoma Report

Aug 21. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 86°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Good on live shad, sassy shad, slabs around channels, main lake, river channel.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait, stinkbait around below the dam, coves, docks, river channel, river mouth.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs around brush structure, docks, points, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week has been about the same. With the extreme heat, it’s been tough beneficial to get on fish early. Striper are being caught on live shad, trolling sassy shad and slabs. Catfish are being caught on punch bait around baited holes and cleaning stations. Crappie are being caught near brush piles and docks with brush.
