Bidding is underway in an online auction of Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation surplus vehicles and equipment. Potential bidders can view and bid on auction items at purplewave.com/auction/240130.
The Wildlife Department annually auctions surplus vehicles and equipment to the public. For this event, the Department has 40 vehicles, agricultural equipment, trailers, electronics, and various shop equipment at PurpleWave.com.
"Vehicles are always a popular item among buyers. These vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance from the time we purchase them new to when we sell them," said Daniel Griffith, property manager for the Wildlife Department. "Boats, boat motors, and trailers are other popular items that draw interest from buyers each year.
"The sale of these items helps bring back funds into the Department to help purchase new vehicles and equipment, or to fund projects. Those who purchase these items directly help fund the Wildlife Department and its activities to conserve fish and wildlife."
Bidding is open now for anyone interested. Bidding will begin to close at 10 a.m. CST on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Bidders must register with the online auction site before bidding. A 10% buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids to arrive at the final price. Other auction details, terms, and conditions are found on the auction website.
Items are sold to the highest bidder as-is, where-is. The vehicles located at Oklahoma City headquarters will be available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at 1801 N Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73152.
