Youth deer hunters who have never harvested a deer, or have taken just one deer, may apply to go on bonus private-land youth deer hunts offered through the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
Apply now through Aug. 16 at the “Controlled Hunts” link at GoOutdoorsOklahoma.com.
To be eligible, youths must be 12-17 years old at the time of their scheduled hunt and must complete the hunter education requirements before applying. Each participant must have an adult (licensed or unlicensed) at least age 21 accompanying them on the hunt.
A total of 44 youth hunters will be selected to hunt at 11 private-land locations. Applicants shouldn’t apply for any of the hunts they are not interested in or know in advance they cannot attend.
Private-land hunt locations and dates are:
- Carter County: Dec. 5-6, 2026 (Saturday-Sunday).
- Carter/Love/Marshall counties: Dec. 11-12, 2026 (Friday-Saturday).
- Cleveland County: Oct. 16-17, 2026 (Friday-Saturday) and Dec. 11-12, 2026 (Friday-Saturday).
- Creek County: Nov. 6-7, 2026 (Friday-Saturday) and Dec. 18-19, 2026 (Friday-Saturday).
- Grady County: Nov. 7-8, 2026 (Saturday-Sunday).
- Love County: Dec. 11-12, 2026 (Friday-Saturday) and Dec. 21-22, 2026 (Monday-Tuesday).
- Nowata County: Oct. 10-11, 2026 (Saturday-Sunday) and Nov. 7-8, 2026 (Saturday-Sunday).
All applicants will receive an email notification. Successful applicants will need to buy the 2026 Youth Super Hunting License, unless they already have one or have an Oklahoma lifetime hunting license. Youth hunters will receive specific information about their hunts within their Go Outdoors Oklahoma profile.
