Waterfowl hunting can be daunting, especially to a beginner. The gear, the setup, the regulations, and so many things to try to figure out that some people give up without even trying. But the ODWC provides young new waterfowl hunters a unique opportunity to participate in special guided waterfowl hunts that will take place around the state, and you need is yourself and an accompanying adult. These guided hunts offer the opportunity to experience the joys of waterfowling to youths who do not have a mentor who hunts waterfowl.
Applicant must be 12 to 15 years of age, have proof of successfully completing a certified hunter education course, and have an adult guardian who can accompany them on the hunt. Locations for this year's hunts will be at Packsaddle, Love County, Fort Cobb State Park, Fort Gibson Lake, Hackberry Flat WMA, Keystone Lake, Vann's Lake, and Wister Lake Refuge. Application deadline is November 5, 2018.
You may be contacted for additional information upon completion of this form. Applicants who are successfully drawn will receive a notification letter in the mail and will be contacted to arrange hunt dates.
