Bidding is under way in an online auction of Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation surplus vehicles. Potential bidders can see the list of auction items and photos online at www.purplewave.com/auction/180911A.
All auction vehicles are pickups. Details about each vehicle are provided in the online listing.
Bidding for each vehicle will begin closing at noon CDT on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Items will close in the order listed on the website.
Johnny Hill, property manager for the Wildlife Department, said vehicles are always popular among bidders. "All of our auction vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance from the time we get them new to the time we sell them. And anyone who buys something in our auction is also supporting the Wildlife Department at the same time."
The Wildlife Department's online auctions have proved to be more efficient and more convenient for bidders.
Bidders must register with the online auction site before bidding. A 10 percent buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids to arrive at the final price. Other auction details, terms and conditions are found on the auction website.
Items are sold to the highest bidder as-is, where-is. The vehicles will be available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Department's interim headquarters, 2145 N.E. 36 St. in Oklahoma City.
