Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Robert S. Kerr Report

May 3. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 76°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level)

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on chicken liver, hot dogs, minnows, shad, stinkbait around below the dam, channels, docks, main lake, river channel, river mouth, tailwater.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Spotted Good on buzz baits, minnows, plastic baits, spoons, topwater lures around brush structure, coves, rocks, tailwater.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows around brush structure, channels, coves, rocks, tailwater, weed beds.

Pine Creek Lake Report

May 3. Elevation is 3 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 66°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on crankbaits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits around coves, creek channels.

Crappie, Black Good on jigs, tube jigs around brush structure.

Catfish, Channel Good on chicken liver around creek channels.

Sardis Lake Report

May 3. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 65°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Good on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, lipless baits, plastic baits, topwater lures around brush structure, channels, points, standing timber.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on cut bait, stinkbait, sunfish, worms around below the dam, brush structure, main lake, standing timber.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Good on jigs, minnows, tube jigs around below the dam, brush structure, main lake, points, standing timber.

Wister Lake Report

May 3. Elevation is 5 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 74°F and murky. (USACE Current Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on buzz baits, jigs, plastic baits around brush structure, creek channels, river channel.

Catfish, Blue Fair on cut bait, shad around main lake.

Crappie, White Excellent on jigs, minnows around brush structure, creek channels, main lake, river channel.
