I Have Applied. What Now?

Controlled Hunt Documents

Looking for your controlled hunt documents?  Login to GoOutdoorsOklahoma.com, and select "Controlled Hunt Applications & Awards" to see your documents.  This can also be accessed from the GoOutdoorsOK app by selecting "Purchase License" and then selecting "Controlled Hunt Applications & Awards".

Email notifications will start going out in June to inform applicants of their results.  Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email about the results of the draw.  Applicants can also access their Go Outdoors account to view their results at gooutdoorsoklahoma.com and click on Controlled Hunts.

Once inside your account, under My Controlled Hunt Applications, applicants will see their Draw Status changed from 'Pending' to 'Successful' or 'Unsuccessful' based on the drawing.

New this year, applicants’ payment information will be securely stored until the drawing, and successful applicants will be automatically charged for any required permit or federal fees required for the hunt they’ve been awarded. This replaces the former process that required successful applicants to log in to Go Outdoors Oklahoma to manually pay fees and secure documents by a specified deadline or risk losing their hunt.

What Happens After the Drawing?

Applicants may check to see if they were selected for a controlled hunt after the drawing is completed online at GoOutdoorsOklahoma.com. Printed lists will not be available. Computer terminals are available to check the drawing results at most local libraries and will be available to the public at the following Wildlife Department offices 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, unless otherwise posted. Unfortunately, we cannot answer telephone inquiries regarding controlled hunt outcomes.  All participants must be properly licensed. All maps and hunt information will be available online, and will not be mailed. Successful applicants may print this information by viewing their results and paying the required fees.

What Happens if I'm Drawn?

Successful applicants will receive notification by e-mail.

Hunt information will be immediately available online once fees are paid. Successful applicants will need to access and print off their specific hunt instructions and maps from the controlled hunt's website once all appropriate fees are paid.  These items will not be mailed.

The actual permit allowing access to the hunt area will be mailed to successful applicants once fees are paid.  All maps and hunt information will be available online, and will not be mailed. Successful applicants may print this information by viewing their results and paying the required fees.

What Happens if I'm Not Drawn?

Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified by mail but will be awarded a preference point that will increase their odds of drawing a hunt the next time they apply.
