Our Hunter Education clinics are being held weekly throughout the fall in communities all across Oklahoma, so all you have to do is choose your course, signup, and show up! See the list of courses below.
The clinics cover a variety of topics including firearms safety, wildlife identification, wildlife conservation and management, survival, archery, muzzleloading, and hunter responsibility. You'll learn safety, ethics, and how to follow the state's hunting regulations.
Hunter Education opens the door for most hunters age 10-29 to hunt without supervision in the state of Oklahoma. Hunters age 30 and over are exempt from state hunter education requirements, but still gain tremendous benefits from attending a clinic (especially if you go with someone who is new to hunting!).
Oklahoma offers extensive hunting opportunities, even if you are just getting started. And while getting started can feel a bit overwhelming, our Hunter Education clinics will teach you more about how to prepare and be ready to hit the woods and fields.
The slate of fall clinics is listed below. They are free to attend, but space is limited. So, you do need to sign up so we know to expect you! When you select your desired clinic date below, you'll be routed to our event signup page where you can register. While the Hunter Education clinics below are provided as a six-hour, in-person course taught by experts from the Wildlife Department, the course is also available online through the National Rifle Association here.
