Fishing Reports
Fishing Report Timing
We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round, but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted.
If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time, you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.
Lower Mountain Fork River Trout Area Report
Sep 18. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 68°F and clear.
Rainbow Trout Good on crickets, grass hoppers, PowerBait, small lures around creek channels, spillway.

Broken Bow Lake Report
Sep 18. Elevation is 8.5 ft. below normal (falling), water temperature 85°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)
Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass Fair on Alabama rig, crankbaits, crawfish, spinnerbaits, topwater lures, worms around coves, points.
Black Crappie, White Bass Good on jigs around brush structure, standing timber.
Channel Catfish Good on cut bait, worms around creek channels.

Hugo Lake Report

Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, White Bass Fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, jigs, plastic baits, topwater lures around brush structure, points, shorelines, standing timber.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Fair on cut bait, dough bait, live bait, stinkbait around brush structure, channels, points.
Black Crappie, White Crappie Slow on jigs, minnows, small lures around brush structure, standing timber.

Channel Catfish Excellent on chicken liver, punch bait, stinkbait, worms around brush structure, channels, rocks.
