Fishing Reports
Fishing Report Timing
We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round, but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted.
If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time, you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.
Lower Illinois River PFHA Report
Oct 14. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 74°F and clear.
Rainbow Trout Slow.
Comments: Trout fishing slow due to warm water temperatures, low oxygen and lack of stocking.

Blue River PFHA Report

Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass Good on grubs, lipless baits, small lures, topwater lures, tube jigs around brush structure, channels, shallows, weed beds.
Channel Catfish Good on chicken liver, grass hoppers, stinkbait, worms around brush structure, channels, rocks.

Kaw Lake Report
Oct 12. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal (rising), water temperature 78°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)
Black Crappie, White Crappie Good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, tube jigs around brush structure, riprap.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Good on chicken liver, cut bait, live shad, shad, stinkbait, sunfish, worms around flats, river channel, river mouth.
Striped Hybrid Bass, White Bass Good on crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, jigs, live shad, spoons, topwater lures around main lake, points, riprap.

Grand Lake Report

Blue Catfish Good on cut bait, shad around below the dam, docks, main lake, river channel.

Texoma Report

Striped Bass Good on live shad, topwater lures around channels, flats, main lake, river channel.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish Fair on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait, stinkbait around below the dam, channels, docks, river mouth.
Black Crappie, White Crappie Fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, PowerBait around brush structure, coves, points, standing timber.
Comments: Fishing this week has been okay. Striper are biting on live shad and Topwater lures. Catfish are biting on punch bait and live shad. Crappie are biting around brush piles on points and in docks with brush with jigs.

Comments: Everything is slow with the lake 10 ft low.
