Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Oologah Lake Report

Apr 28. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 66°F and stained.

Bass, Largemouth Good on crankbaits, jigs around creek channels, river mouth.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Good on shad around below the dam.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Good on flukes, jigs around below the dam, rocks.

Spavinaw Lake Report

Apr 28. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 66°F and stained. (USGS Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on crankbaits, jigs, plastic baits around coves, shorelines.

Crappie, Black Fair on jigs, minnows around brush structure, docks.

Bass, White Fair on crankbaits, jigs around creek channels.

Waurika Lake Report

Apr 28. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal (rising), water temperature 67°F and murky.

Bass, Largemouth, Crappie, White Excellent on crankbaits, hair jigs, jigs, lipless baits, minnows, PowerBait around brush structure, docks, rocks.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Good on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, shad around docks, main lake, rocks.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Fair on cut bait, stinkbait around creek channels, main lake, rocks, shorelines.

Konawa Report

Apr 27. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 73°F and clear.

Bass, Largemouth Excellent on crankbaits, plastic baits around main lake, points, river channel, weed beds.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live shad around coves, discharge, inlet, river channel.

Catfish, Channel Good on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around coves, inlet, riprap, weed beds.

Copan Lake Report

Apr 27. Elevation is 2 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 59°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on hair jigs, minnows, PowerBait, tube jigs, worms around brush structure, docks, shorelines.

Sunfish, Green, Sunfish, Redear Fair on worms around shorelines.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Fair on cut bait, goldfish, live bait, live shad, minnows, shad, shrimp, worms around channels, docks, main lake, shorelines.
