Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Murray Report

Apr 22. Elevation is 4 ft. below normal (rising), water temperature 68°F and clear.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth Fair on bill baits, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits around flats, points, riprap, rocks, weed beds.

Bass, White Slow on jigs around creek channels, main lake.

Catfish, Channel Slow on shad around flats, main lake.

Sooner Lake Report

Apr 22. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 64°F and clear.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Fair on cut bait, live bait, sunfish around coves, main lake.

Saugeye Slow on crankbaits, jigs, live shad, minnows around points, riprap.

Bass, Largemouth Slow on jerk baits, plastic baits around brush structure, rocks.

Stanley Draper Report

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Good on jigs, minnows around docks, shallows, shorelines.

Bass, White Good on sassy shad, small lures around inlet, main lake, points.

Foss Lake Report

Apr 22. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal (stable), water temperature 54°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Walleye Fair on crankbaits, jigs, minnows.

Comments: Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on jigs, crankbaits, and shrimp. Channel catfish fair on cut bait, stinkbait, and worms around main lake and on rocks.

Paddlefish Fair on snagging around below the dam.
